Rameen Peyrow has been meditating for 32 years. He is a yogi, a teacher, and an entrepreneur whose life accomplishments reflect his calling to the path of self-inquiry. His mission is to aid in the liberation of body and mind for each individual. He is the founder of SATTVA Yoga, an authentic practice of yoga steeped in ancient lineage and wisdom, and owner of the SATTVA School of Yoga and SATTVA Online, a center and online platform dedicated to developing yoga practitioners and teachers. He is also the founder of Science of Self, an organization with the mission to usher in a modern movement of meditation.

 

Rameen developed and founded SATTVA Ananda Meditation method, a repertoire of meditation techniques designed to guide an individual all the way to full realization. He is the founder of the Inner Peace Project, a charitable organization committed to giving the tools and benefits of yoga back to the broader community. Rameen was also, at the age of 21, the youngest teacher authorized in the world at the time by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Today Rameen lives and breathes through meditation; if there is a question, meditation provides the answer.

The Science of Self:  Integrating meditation into your life practice

Develop and deepen your understanding of how meditation works to influence the body and the mind to become an inspiring environment to live your day with lifelong meditator and SATTVA Yoga founder, Rameen Peyrow. This workshop is designed to help you learn simple-to-understand technique of withdrawing the senses (pratyahara) from the distractions and activity of your outer environment, reclaiming the dynamic energy of a balanced mind as you strengthen your ability to ground and anchor yourself into the present moment. We will closely observe our thought and emotion and discover how they can be our best friend. The meditation workshop will advance you as a beginner or a long time meditator.

Yoga reveals to us the secret, life giving, life supporting power of breath. In this workshop, you will learn how to use the breath, through conscious awareness, as a communicator between body and mind, allowing you to access aspects of body and mind to stimulate and promote healing and inspiration. Intelligence of the Body:  SATTVA foundational practice

Designed to systematically open the body beginning with increasing the flexibility within the legs, working through stiffness and increasing range of motion in the hips and pelvis, lengthening and strengthening the postural muscles of the torso, and finally improving alignment and opening within the arms, shoulders, neck and head, the SATTVA Foundations practice is about tuning into the natural intelligence of your body. Perfect for those seeking to deepen their overall understanding of how the practice of yoga works, this dynamic class is meant to build balance, inner strength, and energy through a fluid posture flow. Breath work and meditation are incorporated into classes to strengthen the lungs and centre the mind. Join Rameen Peyrow on your mat and take this invigorating practice to flush, cleanse, and heal body and mind. This class is geared towards practitioners at a beginner to intermediate level of practice.

Soothe: SATTVA yoga restorative practice

Restore, rest and rejuvenate the body and mind. This class will explore deep openings within the body, working mainly with seated and floor postures to target the most vital areas we need to stretch and mobilize: the pelvis and the spine. This is a very subtle and effective practice leaving you feeling truly restored and rejuvenated on every level.
